I'd like to offer up proof
Proof that there has actually been knitting going on here despite all the turmoil. It was rather comforting to knit I'm sure you can imagine. Here's the totally done pink bolero.

And this is the blue unknown gender baby sweater totally done. I am suposed to be at the shower right now gifting it to her but while I was sewing on the buttons, all dolled up to go and having just got back from purchasing said buttons, I started to feel ill. I then proceeded to do the technicolor yawn. Having such high regards for the mother to be and all the other guests I called my mom to ask her to appologize for me but I've seemed to have gotten the flu. Or it's the antibiotics I'm on again.... but whatever, I was throwing up for awile.
My button holes are so wonky. Someday I will get better at knitting those bands. And decided to leave off with a nice photo of Albert. My oldest took this photo and I think it kind of displays his wilder side, which is his normal side, so perhaps a photo of him sleeping would actually be a tad more appropriate to show off..... Babbling today. Have a good week, I'm off to start my Socks That Rock now that deadline knitting is done. Oh sh*t. I really probably should study a bit for a chemistry test I have tomorrow, but I'm going bomb it anyway so maybe I should just... no, study first, socks second. Peace dudes!

Yeah and damn
Okay, STILL no socks that rock for me but Meg got hers so I'm still hopeful mine will show up Monday or Tuesday. I also haven't heard from the College of Education about whether my application has been accepted or not...well, if I have been accepted or not. That was the damn part. Now the Yeah!
I got my soap order from Woodsprite Soaps and OMG the smells! I got the new Amber Earth gift set which is my favorite by far! The Amber smells like cinnaminy vanilla. It's a super warm scent and is just so feminine. I also ordered a bar of Jacki's new Sacred line in Zen along with the masage oil that matches. Tasty, tasty, tasty and I also got a bar of the Bliss from the same line. The Bliss smells just like Constant Comment tea from Bigelow teas and is unbelievable! It's a spicey orange smell. So at least Jacki is helping me feel better about not getting my STR kit.
Oh! And because I know you all are sweethearts and are worried about my health I did get a letter from my doctor. I do not understand half of what is on this list of notes but I can figure out that I DO NOT have mono (yeah) and I DO have strep and have suffered all week with it but I can now go fill my prescription. My blood count was normal, my liver was normal, my salts were normal and my thyroid was normal. Ok, what in the hell is IgA? and ESR? and IgG? and CRP? and IgM? LOL the IgG was high and the ESR was 30 but the rest was normal. Ok nurses, enlighten me.
My X-ray of my right hand did show that I have arthritis, but I'll get a report from the arthritis doctor about that and his findings. Oh, and no evidence that there is a immune deficiency thank every higher power that was ever conceived. I could have dealt with it but I prefer not to ya know? ROFL
I'll be on Amoxil for a couple of weeks and feeling fine in a couple of days. Send quick to arrive vibes to my STR box K? I may jump out of my skin yet, except it's going to smell too damn good to leave heee heee heee. Peace knittsters!

Deep breath - knitting content finally!
Check this beauty out! This is from TSP Meg! Her very talented brother made it and she gave it to me to cheer me up when I needed to be cheered up. This first photo is to show you the beautiful design on it.
The second is to show you the way it looks when the sun is hitting it! Isn't it the prettiest? I love it very much and Meg, you are the best friend! She not only gave me the sun but a bag of my favorite tea, "feel better tea" from Espresso Royal. YUMMY!
And I give you the "Marquette Socks". The pattern is from Not Just More Socks using Lion Brand sock yarn. Karl loves them! Now he has a sweater AND a pair of socks made by me. No they don't match LOL, he'll wear them together anyway I'm sure.
Progress on my King Tut Sweater!
And the start of the sleeves for the black hole sweater.
So now I'm off to get my Max who's ear is hurting again. Isn't that just grand???? Grrrr. Ok, peace, knit on, and see ya later gators!Sunday, January 21, 2007
Deep breath - knitting content ahead!
Ok, you can see them in action over at Holly's blog!
First, all I'm going to say about the first and second one is that they are little house warming gifts. I'll tell more tomorrow.
Now this beautiful item below, in the most delightful of colors is a purse that was a TSP from Meg of the TSP Meg. It was a secret and it was a surprise and it's gorgeous!
Here's a slightly blurry photo of the whole purse being held up by a Windex bottle because it was close and the right height. I used it tonight when I went to get something from work Meg! It's the perfect size for my wallet, keys and phone. Thank you so much! It feels wonderful around my wrist and in my hands! She also got be a bag of my favorite tea!
If my friends keep this up I don't know what I'm going to do! *sigh* I feel so loved. Thanks again Meg, the purse and the tea are both yummy, in their own way!

WHAT A DAY!!!!
Ok, my first day at school just totally rocked my world! My first class I had to drop because it was for elementary teachers and I'm secondary and I got into another PE class to fulfill my phy ed requirement. So instead of having to be at school at 10 I don't start until 12. That's my second class, chemistry, the one that I think I'm going to go get a tutor for right away. Then I have world history with the wackiest man I've meet so far and his first impression is good, I hope it lasts and this may be a great class. THEN I have the new Phy Ed class followed by my historical geology class.... I could just wet myself! What a wonderful class/lab to finish the day with! Besides this guy who I know well is in the class also and boy it was a nice surprise to see him walk in! Smart too! He's just the kind of man you want to sit next to LOL. No smarty comments, he's old enough to be my dad or maybe even my grandfather. I also ran into a few people I met last semester and met a few new ones too!
Ok, as if THAT wasn't the bestest day I came home to a box! I was jokingly whining to one of those friends from last semester today about how I never get a package in the mail unless I order something. Suz, you, you, ohhhhhh..... I don't know if I should yell at you or not! LOL I can NOT believe you made those mittens for me!!!! They match my fuzzy jacket so beautifully too! A box of super unbelievable yummy chocolate and a Yarn Harlot book! I could just cry! You made me feel so special and after the weekend I had, it means even more! Thank you Suz, you are truly one of the most wonderful friends I have and I'm so blessed! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
This is what was in the box!
Look how good they look with my fuzzy jacket! Oh they are the spiffiest! They are well done and fit beautifully and comfy! I'm very very impressed with how well knit they are because none, and I mean none, of the yarn inside pull or are too tight or too loose. I'm such a styling babe now!
Anyway, I'm going to take my giddy self away to do some reading now. Thank you again Suz, they really are awesome! Peace!
